Reiki

As a Reiki Practitioner I use this gentle healing system on both humans and animals. It is a noninvasive, stress-free process.  Although it doesn't require physical contact, I will sometimes use contact where appropriate.

Reiki is the practice of transferring universal energy through the practitioner to encourage self-healing and equilibrium. It is a calming and holistic approach, which promotes well-being, recovery, eases pain and improves quality of life.

Most animals respond intuitively to Reiki's power to support the healing of emotional, behavioural and physical illnesses and injuries, although it always remains their choice.

The Reiki I study, was developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui. The name Reiki comes from the Japanese words ”Rei” meaning spirit, and ”Ki” meaning energy. In reality, all things consist of Reiki, since all things are made of energy. This energy travels through the practitioner to those who need healing for their highest good. My instruction has been passed from a direct Usui lineage.

For those who are healthy, Reiki helps to maintain that health, enhances relaxation and provides an emotional sense of peace and contentment. For those who are ill, Reiki is a wonderful healing method which is also a safe complement to Western Medicine and all other forms of healing.
